The lavender at Hambly Farms is harvested with care, at peak bloom, in the early morning when the therapeutic essential oils of lavender are most concentrated and available.
After the harvest in the field, the lavender is processed on the farm through distillation, designed
to minimize waste and environmental impact. The remaining plant material (lavender stems and remaining flower buds) is composted and returned to the fields, enriching the soil for future crops. Better soil = better oil!
